Managing Team Members
Where to manage members
Open the project's Settings tab and find the Members section, headed Share “{project name}”. It lists everyone currently on the project alongside their role. Owners and admins can make changes here; members see the list but can't edit it.
Add a member
- Click Add Member.
- Search for and select the person from your organisation.
- Under Add as: choose their role: Admin or Member.
- Click Add.
People must be in your organisation first
You add project members from people already in your organisation; you can't invite a brand-new email straight onto a project. To bring someone new into the organisation, an organisation owner/admin invites them under Settings → Organization → Members with Invite Member → enter email → Send Invitation. Once they accept, they can be added to projects.
Change a role or remove someone
- Change role: click the role pill next to a member (e.g. Admin or Member) and pick the new role; it updates immediately.
- Remove: click the remove icon next to their role to take them off the project. This removes their project access only; it doesn't affect their organisation account.
There must always be an owner
You can't remove or demote the last owner. Promote someone else to owner first, then change the original owner's role.
Roles
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything: edit the project, manage who has access, and delete the project. A project always has at least one owner. |
| Admin | Everything a member can, plus manage access (add, remove and change roles) and update project settings and scope. Can't delete the project. |
| Member | Work on the project: edit content, run research, and manage deliverables. Members can't change project settings or scope, add or remove people or change roles, or delete the project. |
New people are added as Admin or Member; Owner is granted by promoting an existing admin or member, not assigned directly.
