Members & Invitations

Bring people into your organization, set what they can do, and manage membership over time. Everyone you invite here can then be added to projects.

The Members section lists everyone in your organization with their role, alongside the Invite Member button.

Invite someone

In Settings → Organization, find the Members section.

  1. Click Invite Member.
  2. Enter their email address.
  3. Choose a role: Admin or Member (the help text explains what each can do).
  4. Click Send Invitation. They receive an email link; once they accept, they join your organization.

Who can invite, and as what

Owners can invite people as Admin or Member. Admins can invite Members only. Owner isn't an invite option; it's granted by transferring ownership.

Pending invitations

An invite that hasn't been accepted shows in the members list as a greyed row marked {role} (pending) with an Expires date. To withdraw it, click the X (Cancel invitation). There's no separate resend; cancel the old invite and send a new one.

Change a role or remove someone

  • Change role: use the role pill next to a member to switch them between Admin and Member (you'll confirm the change).
  • Remove: click Remove to take someone out of the organization. This can't be undone.

Admin limits

Admins can manage members but can't change or remove other admins, can't invite at admin level, and can't transfer ownership. Those are owner-only.

Transfer ownership

Every organization has one owner. To hand it over, an owner clicks Make Owner on another member and confirms; they become the owner and you become an admin. This can't be undone.

Member titles

Owners can give each member a title (for example, Senior Advisor) using the pencil icon next to their name, handy for making the team list reflect real roles.

Roles at a glance

RoleCan do
OwnerEverything: edit details and settings, manage every member, invite at any level, set titles, and transfer ownership.
AdminEdit details and settings, and manage members, but not other admins, and no ownership transfer.
MemberView the organization and its resources. No settings or member management.

These are organization roles. Access to a given project is set separately; see Managing team members.
