Connect LithicBlue to ChatGPT

ChatGPT can talk to LithicBlue through a custom MCP connector. This is the ChatGPT-specific walkthrough; for the endpoint and the full list of tools, see the MCP connector reference.

Before you start

What you need

A LithicBlue account on a paid plan, and your MCP endpoint: your regional URL with /api/mcp/mcp appended (e.g. https://eu.lithicblue.com/api/mcp/mcp). See the MCP connector page for your exact URL. On the ChatGPT side, custom connectors run in Developer mode, available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education plans.

Add the connector

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors, click Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Back in Connectors, click Create.
  3. Give it a name (e.g. LithicBlue) and a short description, and paste your MCP server URL (your endpoint above).
  4. Choose OAuth authentication and connect; you'll be sent to LithicBlue to sign in. LithicBlue then shows an Approve access screen naming the connector, the host it connects back to, and what it will be able to do. Check it is ChatGPT, then approve.
  5. In a chat, enable the LithicBlue connector from the composer's tools menu, then ask it to list your projects.

Developer mode lets connectors take actions

Developer mode exposes every tool a connector offers, including writes. Only enable connectors you trust, and review confirmations before allowing an action.

How to track your projects in ChatGPT

Ask ChatGPT to list your LithicBlue projects, then summarise scope fulfilment and the open data gaps on any project. It reads your scope analysis and data-gaps directly, so you can check where a piece of work stands without leaving the chat.

How to verify AI outputs with ChatGPT

Ask ChatGPT to read a deliverable's claims and tell you which are verified, contradicted or still unverified against your sources, and to author new claim highlights anchored to the exact passage. This is how you fact-check AI-generated and human-written deliverables with traceable evidence. The full tool list and example prompts are on the MCP connector page.
